Cynthia Monaco, Director of HADC, has introduced and taught ballet to thousands of people over the past 28 years. Her love of ballet began at the age of 8 with training from Miss Tatiana Doukoudovska and Miss Shirley Weaver at the UMKC Conservatory of Music in Kansas City. She studied ballet in New York with Valdimir Doukoudovska at Carnegie Hall along with David Howard, one of New York City's leading ballet instructors. Formerly a soloist with the Kansas City Ballet company, Cynthia was one of the youngest dancers to join the company. HADC Faculty In 1990 She founded the Heart Of America Youth Ballet . HAYB is one of the largest youth ballet companies in the Midwest. Cynthia received her undergraduate degree at UMKC in Communications and her Masters degree from UMKC in Counseling. She resides in Lee's Summit with her husband, Michael Monaco, MD. Her daughter, Christina is a senior at ASU, majoring in Dance/Communication and her son, Nicholas is a year one student in the BS/MD Six year medical program at UMKC.
Nancy Nail has been a working actress in Kansas City for the last 15 years. She has performed with the Kansas City Symphony, The Heartland Men's Chorus and also was a vocalist for the Boulevard Band. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Speech and Theatre from Avila University and has been with Talent Unlimited for the last 10 years as a commercial actress. She has worked at the Quality Hill Playhouse as a singer and Company Manager for the last 10 years. Nancy has also performed at World's of Fun, Starlight Theatre, and Theatre for Young America. She is a member of Actor's Equity Association and also the Screen Actors Guild. Nancy is the proud parent of 2 teenagers and resides in Raytown. Nancy is responsible for theatre and voice classes at HADC. Christina Monaco is living her life . . . dancing. She is a ranked soloist for the Heart of America Youth Ballet. She performed such memorable rolls as Alice in the youth ballet's original production of Alice in Wonderland. She also played the roll of Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker. Christina was a member of the HADC Dance Ensemble competitive dance team. She received several scholarships and was titled Miss Dance Out along with Miss LA Dance Magic. Christina currently attends Arizona State University where she is enrolled in the BFA Program and dances for the ASU Sun Devil Dance Team. When she is back in Lee's Summit she makes HADC a priority where she teaches master classes and choreographs routines for the HADC Dance Ensemble. Lisa Monaco has been dancing all her life. She has performed many roles with the Heart of America Youth Ballet, including leading rolls as the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker along with the Queen of Hearts and Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland. She was a member of the HADC Dance Ensemble. Lisa received scholarships at Tremaine, LA Dance Magic, and Dance Out competitions. She also received top-ranking awards for her solo routines at Showbiz and Dance Out Competitions. Lisa is currently attending Missouri State University in Springfield, where she is a member of the Sugar Bears Dance Team and the BFA dance program. Lisa is dedicated to the HADC Dance Ensemble where she choreographs routines. She plans to continue dance performances throughout her life and will be performing in the MSU Spring Dance Concert in May. Amber & Rachael EuDaly began dancing in 1984 with Cynthia Monaco. They were instrumental in the Heart of America Youth Ballet dancing as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Cinderella. Their previous experience includes: Ballet Magnificat's Summer Program, a personal invitation to Joffrey's Ballet Summer Program in San Antonio, and extensive training in UMKC's Dance Division. Amber and Rachael are currently dancing with the professional dance company, Storling Dance Theater. They have performed and taught workshops throughout the U.S. and Canada. With Storling Dance Theater, Amber and Rachael danced lead roles in the premier of the Prodigal Daughter at the Lyric Opera House in Kansas City. In April of 2002 they danced in Times Square in New York City. The EuDaly sisters began their Home School Dance Program in 1996 after many requests from fellow home schoolers. It has been their vision to see dance classes made available to all home school families in the area. Their goal is for every child to be inspired to learn in a positive environment. This program is unique in offering afternoon classes at discounted rates.

816.554.3033 Ms. Treva Farrell has an extremely wide background in dance and theatre arts. She began teaching at age 16 for her well known mother and dance educator, Nelda Hill. At age 18 she danced with the Gus Giordano Company in Chicago and then traveled with the Rudas Acrobatic Troupe performing in Montreal, Canada, in Las Vegas with Ann Margaret, and in Monte Carlo for Princess Grace's Croix Rouge Benefit. Internationally, she has choreographed, danced, and taught in France, Spain, Japan and for German television. Calling New York City home for 10 years Treva danced on Broadway in "This Was Burlesque" starring Ann Corio, and toured nationally with "GiGi" starring Louis Jourdan, Tiana Elg and Betsy Palmer, as well as teaching at the Broadway Dance Center and choreographing off Broadway at the retro club, SHOUT! A competitive dancer since the age of five, she has traveled regionally and nationally winning high scores as a troupe member and soloist. A founding member of HADC Dance Ensemble in 2001, she has continued to pursue her passions while working with the competitive team as an assistant choreographer and instructor. Melissa was also a soloist with the Heart of America Youth Ballet, performing such roles as the Summer Fairy in Cinderella and the Waltz Queen in the Nutcracker. She is currently attending the University of Kansas where she was accepted into the BFA program on a full dance scholarship. She is earning her BS in Microbiology with a minor in Dance. Melissa enjoys teaching dance sampler, combo, jazz, and ballet classes at HADC. Yoga Alley Dance Shop Tylor Tayrien Manhattan Dance Project Rachel Plante began her dance training at the age of five under the direction of Cynthia Monaco and danced as a soloist in her company, Heart of America Youth Ballet. She danced in such leading roles as Cinderella & Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker. At the age of thirteen, she was personally invited to the Joffrey Ballets summer intensive in New York. Her experience runs deep in Ballet, Horton and Graham modern technique, contemporary, Jazz, and Lyrical. She trained and performed with the Storling Dance Theaters Artistic Development Program. In addition she danced in London at Laban Dance Conservatory. She spent four seasons with Maxxas Dance Theatre and was the artistic director for Maxxas Dance Theatre's junior company. This last year Miss Rachel danced as a company member of Storling Dance Theater. She plans to further her career in the performing arts by having her own company and teaching Ballet, Modern and Lyrical at Heart of America Dance Centre. Rachel Crawford has studied ballet for over 11 years. She is currently enrolled in the Conservatory of Dance at UMKC and is pursuing a BFA in dance with a major in ballet and a minor in modern. Last year, she performed as the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker Ballet. She has been cast as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at the Folly Theater and in previous productions of Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Alice in Wonderland. She has appeared in four productions of The Nutcracker and has previously danced the parts of Clara and the Dancing Doll. Rachel graduated as Salutatorian in May of 2008 from Archbishop O'Hara High School where she was in the concert choir and had roles in the musicals 42nd Street, Grease, and Seussical. Rachel is very excited to be returning to HADC to teach dance and thanks Cindy for being such a wonderful teacher and role model. Richelle Sauceda is a native of Kansas City. She started her studies at the age of four at Hill-Top Dance Center under the direction of Nelda Hill who believed that dancers should be well rounded; therefore her training includes Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Stage Acrobatics. Richelle danced on scholarship at The Broadway Dance Center in New York City and with Gus Giordano in Chicago. Her professional career started aboard The Mercury with Celebrity Cruise Lines. Since then she has enjoyed traveling around the world onboard numerous ships with both Celebrity and Princess Cruise Lines as a Line Captain, Dancer and Acrobat. Other dance credits include Shoji Tabuchi Theatre and Dixie Stampede in Branson, Mo, MTV, Starlight Theater, The New Theatre Restaurant and featured roles with the Kansas City Symphony and the Kansas City Dance Theatre Company. She has also appeared in commercials and choreographed in many cities including Nashville and Las Vegas. Richelle has found her passion in teaching and is excited to pass on her love for dance to her many students. Her teaching credits include private lessons for actresses Mary Tyler Moore and Georgia Engalls along with Olympic Medalist, Bart Conner. Ms. Farrell trained extensively with Gus Giordano, Charles Kelley, Danny Daniels, Germaine Salzberg, Frank Hatchett, Douglas Wassell, and David Howard. She continues to widen her knowledge of dance, taking class from the popular teachers of the day whenever possible. She believes dance is in our bones, and every student, child or adult, can benefit and enjoy dancing!
