HADC Dance Ensemble Competitive Dance Team
The Heart of America Staff is excited that you have taken an interest in the Dance Ensemble Competitive Dance Team. We are pleased to see that our performance group is growing each year. The following is designed to inform parents and dancers of the requirements, costs, and expectations of HADC Dance Ensemble.
Requirements
Dance will be #1 priority . . . above any extracurricular activities.
Student must be committed to dance and have a strong work ethic. While we do not expect perfection, we are dedicated to ensuring that those who are serious in furthering their education and performance in dance are truly committed to those values.
Students, depending on level, are required to take a minimum number of classes per week. The classes will be decided and discussion with the Director.
Student must attend all practices, rehearsals and performances. Full and rigorous participation at each practice, rehearsal, and performance is expected. NO EXCEPTIONS! Absences or tardiness are discouraged. Prior notice must be provided if tardy or absent.
Student is required to wear a Heart of America Dance Ensemble jacket to all performances, conventions, and competitions.
Ensemble members are required to attend 4 regional competitions along with 2 weekend conventions. These competitions and conventions will be submitted to the Ensemble members following auditions.
If a dancer is falling behind in any area, they are required to take additional technique classes.
The students dance account must be kept current. This includes payments for monthly tuition, costumes, choreography fees, membership fee, and convention/competition payment. Past due payments will incur a late fee.
Fundraisers are held periodically to help offset expenses.
