Recital is held the next-to-last weekend of June at the Lee's Summit North Performing Arts Center. Costumes are ordered in February after each student has paid a 50% per costume deposit. Balance of costumes is due in April. HADC schedules a "picture day" the first of June where all students are photographed in costume, hair, and make-up. A Mock Dress Rehearsal is scheduled at HADC during the first of June followed by the actual Dress Rehearsal at LSN. Three performances are scheduled (Friday night, Saturday afternoon matinee, and Saturday night). Please note the specific recital dates, times, and information can be found on the Calendar of Events page. A yearly recital fee of $50.00 is required to be paid by February 1.

Families of students participating in Recital are asked to schedule summer vacations after recital is over.

Families of students in HADC are asked to schedule summer vacations after try-outs.

HADC follows the Lee's Summit RVII School District schedule. If they call a snow day, then the studio will be closed; however there are times when competition numbers will be rehearsed.

HADC reserves the right to cancel evening classes due to weather concerns.

Check the website or call the studio for a recorded message when in doubt.

HADC does not send out monthly statements! Tuition is always due at the beginning of the month. After the 15th of the month a $5.00 late fee will automatically be added to your account - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Returned checks will be charged a $15.00 NSF fee.

Pro-rating for missed classes will not be permitted. Make-up classes, however, are available. Please contact your child's instructor for appropriate make-up classes and times.

There is no credit given for missed classes.

Sorry, there are no refunds. No exceptions.

Every dancer must have a registration form for the current year signed by the student and guardian of the student (if the student is under 18).

Registration forms must be accompanied by an annual non-refundable enrollment fee of $30.00 ($10.00 per additional child/sibling) and the first month's tuition in order to hold the student's spot in class. Effective September 2007, a yearly $10.00 maintenance fee will be charged to each student ($5.00 per additional child/sibling).

Dance till the stars come down from the rafters.
Dance, dance, dance - till you drop.

~ (Wystan Hugh) W. H. Auden

Watch Night is offered, typically, every two months. It is an excellent opportunity for parents to watch their child's progression in class. Parents and visitors are not allowed in the classroom; however there is a viewing window at each studio classroom. We discourage spending the entire class period at the viewing window. Visitors can watch only at the discretion of the instructor.
