Cindy - I just wanted to tell you how wonderful I thought the show was. Your talent as a choreographer never ceases to amaze me.  Every year I see the looks on the faces of the girls that are graduating from your program, and I know the impact that you have made on their lives. I feel so fortunate that I got that same chance.

Cindy - I am so thankful for you for being a wonderful influence in the life of my daughter, Cristina. From the beginning, you have been caring and encouraging, making her feel loved, important and successful while challenging her to think, work harder and improve. The best thing about you is you expect excellence and not perfection which should be the attitude of any teacher. You see the various strengths and weaknesses of each child, capitalizing on those strengths while giving guidance and encouragement to improve the weak areas. Cindy - Rachel and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for all you have done throughout these past 11 years to help Rachel meet her goals and dreams with ballet and dance. Although this is an “ending” for her with HAYB and HADC performances now all over, it is also a new beginning as she takes all that you have modeled into her future life at the conservatory. She wouldn't be where she is today without all the opportunities and experiences that she has been given because of you.

I know I never told you enough! Dancing for you for the past 7 years has been an amazing experience. It has helped me fulfill my dream of becoming the best ballerina I could be and the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker! :) You have taught me so much in life. Because of you, I have developed determination, discipline, and a very strong work ethic. I will miss you and your ballet classes more than you could ever know! I hope I can come back to take a class again sometime. I will definitely keep in touch and I cant wait to come back to see recital this summer. You have been a great mentor for me and I will never forget you or the experience I have had as a member of the Heart of America Youth Ballet. I hope one day in the future, my daughters can take ballet classes from you, Christina, and Lisa! Thanks again for all the wonderful memories!

Our two girls have "grown up" at HADC, having attended since its initial opening.  Not only have they learned excellent dance skills, but they've had great adult role models and peer relationships.  I believe the poise, self-confidence, ability to perform in public, and the value of working hard for a goal are important life skills they have learned.  In addition, I love the physical setting at HADC in beautiful downtown Lee's Summit. Cindy and her wonderful staff are like extended family and I highly recommend HADC for anyone interested in the world of dance for their child. .....  Dr. Mary Duryea and Dr. Ed Kraemer, parents of Kelsey and Tessa
